Ashley Cole has left Chelsea and joined Frank Lampard’s backroom staff at Everton.

Cole, a Chelsea and England legend during his playing days, had been coaching in our Academy since 2019, including work with the Under-15 age group. He has also been the England Under-21 assistant coach since last July.During his time as a player at Stamford Bridge, Cole won the Champions League, Premier League, Europa League, four FA Cups and a League Cup, making 338 appearances along the way. Lampard was a team-mate of his throughout his Chelsea career, and for most of his international career.

Cole follows Joe Edwards in departing for Goodison Park to assist Lampard, where they will also work with former Chelsea coaches Paul Clement and Chris Jones.
