Kepa was one of only three players who kept his place from Spain's 4-1 win over Faroe Islands on Friday night for the visit of Sweden, meaning our keeper has now started three of La Roja's four games in qualifying for next summer's European Championships.

They have won them all after defeating Sweden 3-0, although they had to wait until after the hour to break the deadlock in Madrid on Monday. Sergio Ramos converted a penalty given for a handball in the 64th minute, not long after Kepa had made an important stop to deny Robin Quiason with what was the Swedes' best opening.

Alvaro Morata, on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea, was brought off the bench at 1-0 and won a penalty of his own. Ramos handed the ball over and Morata made no mistake from 12 yards.

Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad was making his international debut and he wrapped up the scoring with a couple of minutes remaining. Spain remain top of Group F, five points clear of Sweden and Romania.

Denmark needed a victory over Georgia in Copenhagen and they got it with ease, running out 5-1 winners. Having drawn their first two qualifying games in Group D, the Danes went ahead through Kasper Dolberg early on.

Georgia equalised but parity did not last long as Christian Eriksen restored the Danes' advantage from the spot. In the second half Dolberg scored again, and there were further goals for Yussuf Poulsen and Martin Braithwaite before the close.

Christensen completed the full game in defence for Denmark who have moved up to second in their group, five points behind the Republic of Ireland having played a game fewer. They travel to Gibraltar and Georgia in the next batch of international fixtures in September.
