Frank Lampard has been joined in Ireland by 13 more Chelsea players, as the pre-season squad grows ahead of our first game on Wednesday.
The Blues take on Bohemians on Wednesday evening and a number of players have joined the original 22-man squad, with the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic arriving at our Dublin training base earlier today.
Alongside the trio mentioned above, we also welcome Marcos Alonso, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Ross Barkley, Olivier Giroud, Andreas Christensen, David Luiz and Emerson Palmieri into our pre-season squad.
Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have both arrived too, with the pair having enjoyed successful loan spells last term at Aston Villa and Derby respectively. Abraham helped Villa earn promotion to the Premier League by defeating Mount’s Derby, managed at the time by Lampard, in the play-off final.
Another name joining the squad is midfielder Izzy Brown, who spent part of last season on loan at Championship Leeds United after recovering from a serious injury.
