The hard work continued at Chelsea’s training base in Ireland this afternoon, with Frank Lampard welcoming our returning internationals and loanees into the latest pre-season sessions.
13 players arrived in Dublin earlier today and got straight to work, with a fitness session in the on-site gym being followed by a workout out on the pitch with Lampard and his staff.
Part of the group was Mateo Kovacic, who recently turned his loan move into a permanent stay at Stamford Bridge, while fellow midfielders N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Ross Barkley were also involved in the session.
Kepa Arrizabalaga joined fellow goalkeepers Willy Caballero and Jamie Cumming to work on some specific drills with Henrique Hilario, while recently appointed Technical and Performance Advisor, Petr Cech, watched on.
Andreas Christensen, David Luiz and Emerson were also back to work, while returning loanees Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Izzy Brown were all part of the group.
Keep your eyes on all our digital platforms over the coming days as we bring you all the latest from our pre-season training base, as well as proving all the build up to our first fixture of the summer on Wednesday.
