We had 23 shots on Saturday, eight of which were on target and 10 were blocked. Ross Barkley and Mason Mount tried their luck five times each, while Tammy Abraham scored with two of his three efforts.

Norwich had six attempts, five on target and the other against the crossbar.

We had a 53.4 per cent share of possession. Kurt Zouma (6.9 per cent) and Emerson (6.3 per cent) spent the most time on the ball, with Emerson (100), Cesar Azpilicueta (87) and Zouma (83) having the highest number of touches.

Our pass success rate was 84 per cent. Andreas Christensen (93 per cent) and Jorginho (89 per cent) ranked highest for us in that department.

Zouma’s 64 completed passes was the most on the pitch. Christensen and Jorginho were next for us with 55.

When it came to key passes, Barkley made five, Emerson four, and Christian Pulisic three.

Mateo Kovacic’s six successful take-ons (out of six attempted) was a game-high figure. The Croatian was closely followed by Emerson and Barkley, who made five each.

We won 17 of the 29 aerial duels contested. Azpilicueta won a game-high four of the five he contested. The rest of the back four – Emerson, Zouma and Christensen – won three each.

We got the better of our opponents when it came to tackling, too, winning 26 of the 31 we went in for. That’s an 84 per cent success rate, compared to the Canaries’ 43 per cent (16/37).

Our top tackler was Emerson, who won all seven he contested. Next were Jorginho, Emerson and Christensen with four each.

Norwich were forced into 29 clearances (to our nine), while both teams made 11 interceptions. Zouma and Jorginho led the way with three apiece.
