In our latest ‘Getting to know Chelsea Women’ feature, Guro Reiten gave us an insight into her life off the pitch…
Among her answers, the attacking player shares her hobby, what TV series she’s watching and who she sits next to on the coach to away matches…
How did you get into football?
I have always played – I come from a small place and everyone plays football. That was kind of the only thing I did with my friends.
Ada Hegerberg is from my town, we went to the same school. We only have around 5,000 people in my town.
Who do you sit with on an away trip and what do you get up to?
Magda, Jonna and Deanna and we normally play Partners – it’s a board game.
Who was your favourite footballer growing up and why?
Steven Gerrard because he was a great footballer, he’s a leader and was the captain of my favourite team.
Do you have any siblings?
Yes I have a brother, he’s two years younger than me, so 23.
What do you eat for breakfast?
Porridge every single morning. Berries, cinnamon and nuts.
What is your favourite food?
Sushi, I love sushi.
Tea or coffee?
Coffee of course. Black, strong coffee and I drink a lot of it.
Favourite thing about London?
Chelsea! That’s why I’m here, I don’t like big cities but I like Cobham.
Where was your last holiday?
Two years ago, I went to Croatia with some of my friends.
Are you watching any TV series at the moment?
Yes, I love Grey’s Anatomy and because all the girls are talking about Love Island I had to start watching that. I really like it!
Do you have any hobbies?
I paint, but I haven’t done that since moving to Chelsea. I have to start again, I love painting!
What do you sing on Karaoke?
I can’t sing, I really can’t sing but if someone else is going to start it, of course I’m going to join in.
If you were a super hero, what would your powers be?
I would fly!
Guro Reiten and Chelsea's next game is on Sunday away to Manchester United. Our next home game takes place on Wednesday 12 February for the visit of Birmingham City (kick-off 7pm) and four days later we welcome Liverpool in the FA Cup (2pm kick-off).
