According to CIES Football Observatory, an independent research and education organization in Switzerland, Kurt Zouma ranks first as the best heading defender in the world right now.Using data from the top 10 European leagues, Kurt Zouma has won 26 of his 27 aerial duels this season. That is a staggering 96.3 per cent.The closest player to him from the Premier League is Harry Maguire who is ranked third with 90 per cent (27 won out of 30).
Zouma’s impressive displays for Chelsea were followed by a call-up to the France national team from head coach Didier Deschamps. Both him and Frank Lampard will be hoping that Zouma can continue to be colossal in their defences
Kante in for upgraded FIFA card
With many players around the world representing their countries this week, Kante’s performance against Portugal on Saturday stood out.
He played for France and was named Man of the Match after he scored the winning goal.
The Frenchman is rated 88 on FIFA and if he gets his upgrade, plenty of Chelsea fans will want to get their hands on it.
Another Chelsea player in contention for an upgrade is Timo Werner.The German scored a brace in a 3-1 win against Ukraine. As one of the fastest players in the game, an upgraded Werner card could be a big problem for defenders on Ultimate Team.
