Callum Hudson-Odoi's wonderful breakaway goal in Rennes has been voted Chelsea's Goal of the Month for November.

The goal owed plenty to the tenacity, vision and passing ability of Mason Mount, who won possession in his own half before releasing his fellow Academy graduate with a raking through ball. Hudson-Odoi's touch was immaculate and he had the finish to boot, calmly slotting into the net. It was a textbook breakaway goal and set us on our way to a 2-1 victory in northern France.

It was a competitive contest, with Hudson-Odoi's effort earning 28 per cent of supporters' votes cast on the Chelsea website and the 5th Stand app.

That tally was marginally ahead of Jude Soonsup-Bell v Barnsley U18s (20 per cent of the vote), Pernille Harder v Everton Women (16 per cent), and Tammy Abraham and Lewis Bate against Newcastle and Barnsley U18s respectively (both 15 per cent).

The other goal nominated was also in our Under-18s' big win over Barnsley and came from Harvey Vale.

Hudson-Odoi follows Reece James (v Brighton) and Timo Werner (v Southampton) in winning Chelsea Goal of the Month awards this season.
