The two teams meet in their third round on Wednesday 13 January to decide who will make the trip to Kingston to face Ed Brand’s boys. The fourth round tie is to be played by Saturday 30 January 2021 and full match details will be communicated in due course.

Brand’s players secured their spot in this afternoon’s draw after thrashing Barnsley’s youth team 8-1 earlier this month. Among the goalscorers that day were Jude Soonsup-Bell (4), Tino Livramento, Ben Elliot, Harvey Vale and Lewis Bate.

We last met Cambridge in the Youth Cup third round tie of 1963, a 4-0 win that day with goals from John Boyle (2) and Peter Houseman (2) saw Chelsea progress into the next round to take on Wolves. While it will be the first competition meeting between Chelsea and AFC Fylde should they win in the new year.
