Charlie Brown has completed a permanent transfer to MK Dons.
The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2016 and was part of our Under-18s squad which won an unprecedented quadruple in 2018.
A promising first season with the Blues Academy saw the striker net 10 goals in 20 appearances for our Under-18s, mostly as a substitute, including coming off the bench to score four times against Brighton.
Brown played his part in that 2018 quadruple for Jody Morris’s youth team, most notably when he scored in the FA Youth Cup semi-final win over Birmingham City and got both our goals as we beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Under-18 Premier League Cup final.
He spent the next two campaigns representing our development squad, as well as scoring 12 times in nine UEFA Youth League games as our Under-19s reached the final in 2019.
His first experience of senior football arrived during the second half of last season, during a loan with Belgian second-division side Union SG, where he made three appearances.
Brown now departs on a permanent transfer to MK Dons in League One. Chelsea Football Club thanks Charlie for his service and wishes him all the best in his future career.
