The Lionesses and forward England played their first game in 354 days against Northern Ireland at St George's Park on Tuesday. Our No.9 started on the bench for interim England head coach Hege Riise but came on for Ellen White in the 76th minute.England secured a comfortable 6-0 win against Northern Ireland in this friendly with White of Manchester City registering a hat-trick and club team-mate Lucy Bronze also hitting the target. Rachel Daly of Houston Dash and Manchester United’s Ella Toone added to the scoring.The Lionesses are next due to take on Canada on Tuesday 13 April.Cuthbert and Scotland played in their final two UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 qualifier matches despite being unable to secure a finals spot following their defeat to Finland in December. Scotland returned to winning ways by thrashing Cyprus 10-0 on Friday, with Cuthbert scoring a brace in the first half. The 22-year-old got her country underway after 10 minutes when she was on the end of a cross from United’s Kirsty Hanson and tapped home from close-range. She scored the fifth before the break when she slotted her effort beyond the Cyprus goalkeeper.
Fleming played in this year’s SheBelieves Cup – a friendly competition staged by the United States and also contested by Brazil and Argentina.Our Canadian midfielder played every single minute in all three games of the round-robin tournament and won one and lost two. The opening game saw Canada take on USA and the match ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat against the reigning Women’s World Cup champions. Manchester City’s Rose Lavelle struck from close-range on the 79th minute.Fleming and her team responded well against Argentina and came away with a victory following a late goal from youngster Sarah Stratigakis, however they wrapped up the friendly competition with a 2-0 loss to Brazil last night.Ingle met up with her Wales squad for an international training camp but has since returned to Cobham.
