Voting is now open for the Barclays FA Women’s Super League season honours and Emma Hayes has been nominated for the Manager of the Season award, while Blues strikers Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr have been shortlisted for the Player of the Season award.

Hayes scooped the Manager's award last season and it comes as no surprise the Chelsea manager is in the running once again having guided her side to within touching distance of back-to-back league titles.

The Blues have won 16 of our 20 league fixtures and currently sit two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City at the top of the table with two games remaining.

Chelsea have the tightest defence in the league and are also the team at the top of the scoring charts, having netted 62 goals and conceded just 10.

Both Kirby and Kerr have played a huge role in that scoring form statistic, having scored a combined total of 32 WSL goals.

A constant threat to defences with her quick movement, Kerr has spearheaded the attack for Hayes’ side this season.

The Australian is currently leading the WSL goal scoring charts on 18 goals, which includes her two hat-tricks against West Ham United and Birmingham City.

While Kerr may get credit for her goals, a lot of it wouldn’t have been possible without her strike partner Kirby.

The Chelsea duo have directly combined for eight goals, with Kirby weighing in with 14 goals and 10 assists this season.

With her jinking runs and her vision for a pass, Kirby has been back to her best throughout the 2020/21 campaign and is the only player in the league to reach double figures for both goals and assists this season.

Other manager nominees are: Hope Powell (Brighton & Hove Albion), Casey Stoney (Manchester United), Gareth Taylor (Manchester City), Carly Ward (Birmingham City).

Other player nominees are: Izzy Christiansen (Everton), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City), Sam Mewis (Manchester City), Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal).
