Chelsea FC Women will play Birmingham City away in the quarter-finals of the 2020/21 Vitality FA Women’s Cup on Wednesday 29 September.
The draw for the last eight took place this afternoon and was announced on Talk Sport 2.Although the 2020/21 campaign has ended, Emma Hayes and her side are still in for a chance of winning the domestic quadruple having clinched the FA Community Shield, Continental Tyres League Cup and Barclays FA Women’s Super League.Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the competition was delayed and will now resume next season in September. Should the Blues progress to the final four, the semi-finals are set to be played on Sunday 31 October with the final being staged at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 5 December.The Blues reached this stage of the competition after defeating Everton 3-0 at Kingsmeadow for what was our final match of the season.
