Blues interested in Lukuku

Chelsea are reportedly one of the favourites to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Thomas Tuchel is keen on bringing in another striker to further improve the attacking power at Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan’s recently reported financial struggles could tempt the club to sell the Belgian international which might prompt the Blues to make a move.

The 28-year-old has had another impressive season, scoring 30 goals in 44 games in all competitions.

The report states that the striker will be one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe with Manchester City and Real Madrid also interested in the Belgian.

Zola impressed by Havertz

Gianfranco Zola has praised Kai Havertz’s debut season in England.

Speaking to TalkSport, the Zola hailed Havertz after the 21-year-old scored the goal that clinched our second Champions League title.

‘Havertz gave us a surprise the other day,’ the Blues hero said. ‘Nobody has ever doubted his qualities in terms of technique and intelligence.

‘Maybe we thought he was not finding his right position on the pitch and not affecting the game as much.’

The German international scored nine goals and picked up nine assists in his debut campaign, leaving Zola to think there’s more coming in the future.

‘He proved people wrong because he performed so well for the team,’ the Italian added.

‘This position suits him and Chelsea very much.’

Kane loves Mount

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has shared his delight for Mason Mount after another impressive season by the 22-year-old.

Speaking on Gary Neville’s YouTube channel, The Overlap, the England captain has revealed he is expecting big things from our Academy graduate.

‘I love Mount as a player,’ Kane said. ‘Everyone is talking about him now, but there were a couple of question marks over him and whether he should be playing ahead of some other players.

‘But he’s been great, he’s so good on the ball and he’s a real nuisance off the ball.’

The Blues midfielder will now be preparing for international duty as he is expected to be named in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad.

‘With the way we want to play and press and win the ball back with England, it suits us perfectly,’ Kane continued. ‘He’s a level-headed guy, he works so hard. He’s quiet but he’s not afraid to talk on the pitch.

‘I’m glad he’s doing what he’s doing and proving a lot of people wrong.’
