The deal comes after nine hugely successful years in charge, in which she has managed the Blues 249 times, winning 10 major trophies. Hayes has guided Chelsea to four FA Women’s Super League titles, two Women’s FA Cups, two Continental League Cups, the FA WSL Spring Series, and the Women’s FA Community Shield, the most by any club in the professional era. She also led the Blues to our first ever UEFA Women’s Champions League final, making her the most successful manager in the WSL’s history. Outside of her accolades, Hayes continues to be an ambassador for the women’s game, supporting the growth from grassroots to elite.On her new contract, Hayes said: ’Everyone knows what this club means to me. After signing in 2012, Hayes led the Blues to our first Women’s FA Cup in 2015, quickly following it with the WSL title to complete a historic and memorable double. Having won the Spring Series in 2017, Hayes’ side completed a second domestic double of the FA Cup and WSL title in 2018, also reaching the semi-final of the Champions League for a second time.Further silverware followed in 2020 as the Blues clinched the League Cup and were crowned Barclays FA WSL champions. Having won the title on points-per-game, Hayes and her players proved they were true champions in the campaign that followed last season, adding the Community Shield and consecutive Continental League Cup wins.

Hayes’ side also secured back-to-back WSL titles to make it four times in six seasons that the Blues have finished as league champions, the most a club has ever won in the competition. As well as securing the WSL’s longest ever unbeaten run at 33 games, Hayes also guided the Blues to the Champions League final for the first time in our history and today’s news means Chelsea and Hayes’s journey will continue on as we approach nearly a decade of Hayes at Chelsea.
