Mason Mount has been included on the eight-man shortlist for the December Premier League Goal of the Month award.
Mount is nominated for the second of four goals he scored in as many games at the start of December, his pinpoint volley against West Ham United which gave us the lead on the brink of half-time at the London Stadium, although we ultimately succumbed to a 3-2 defeat.
Our No19's strike was still one to savour, though, as he showed great composure and technique to beat Hammers goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. He had to be patient as Hakim Ziyech's long, raking crossfield pass seemed to hang in the air, but Mount watched it all the way down before guiding a precise side-footed volley low inside the near post.
You can watch that goal again in the video above and cast your vote for Mason to win the award here until midday (UK time) on Monday 10 January. Mount would become the first Chelsea player to win Premier League Goal of the Month since Eden Hazard in April 2019, also for one scored against West Ham.
The other seven Premier League players named on the shortlist are Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne (both Manchester City), Demarai Gray (Everton), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), Neal Maupay (Brighton & Hove Albion) and Lucas Moura (Tottenham Hotspur).
The winner of the December Premier League Goal of the Month award will be announced at 1pm on Friday 14 January.
