The Blues forward is in the running for The Best FIFA Women’s Player following a fantastic 2021.
Kerr is up against Barcelona duo Alexia Putellas and Jennifer Hermoso.
The award is given to the outstanding player in women’s football as voted for by an international jury comprising the current coaches of all women’s national teams (one per team), one specialist journalist from each territory represented by a national team and fans registered on FIFA.com.
Kerr is nominated on the back of a fantastic year with the Blues, which saw us win the domestic treble. The Matildas skipper finished the 2020/21 campaign as the league’s top scorer, having netted 28 goals in all competitions.
Kerr follows goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger, and boss Emma Hayes in being nominated in their respective categories. The winners’ ceremony will take place in Zurich on Monday 17 January.
