Dest’s agent speaks out amid Chelsea interest
Chelsea have reportedly been told the asking price for Barcelona and USA defender Sergino Dest.
The Blues have been linked heavily with the right-back and reports by Mundo Deportivo in the Spanish media have now revealed what it will likely take for the London club to persuade the Catalan giants to sell.
‘Michael Reschke, former Bayern sporting director who currently works in the company that represents Sergino Dest, denied in an interview in the German newspaper Bild the defender's intention to change clubs in the next transfer market,’ the report states.
‘The defender, contracted until 2025, has attracted the attention of major European clubs including the current European champions, Chelsea.
‘Barcelona's intention with Sergino is to recover the investment, so they will not accept an offer of less than 20 million for the side,’ the report continues. ‘Although the 21-year-old has expressed his intention to succeed at the Camp Nou, the emergence of Thomas Tuchel's team may make him rethink.’
AC Milan left-back responds to Blues interest
Chelsea target Theo Hernandez is reportedly close to penning a new deal with AC Milan.
The France international has apparently been targeted by Chelsea as we look to reportedly bolster our defensive options, especially on the left-hand side.
Reports in the Metro suggest the contract is almost signed and an interview he recently undertook with Sky in Italy also suggests any Blues interest is now over.
‘Recent reports from Tuttosport have claimed Chelsea have explored a deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge and were told by Milan an offer of €60m could tempt them into doing business,’ the report states.
‘But the 24-year-old insists he is ready to commit his future to the Rossoneri, with Milan legend and director Paolo Maldini playing a key role in that decision.'
‘We are at an advanced stage,’ Hernandez told Sky Italia when discussing a new deal.
‘I’ve been very happy here since the first day and we are in talks. I work every day to become the best and Paolo Maldini often helps with advice too.'
Two Blues in pundit's half Team of the Season
Premier League legend and TV pundit Alan Shearer has named two Chelsea players in his Team of the Season so far, with one being a loanee.
Chelsea currently sit second in the English top-flight and have only lost twice so far this season. A massive factor has been our defence, and as such Antonio Rudiger has been picked out by Shearer.
‘For most of this season, up to now, I think he's been superb. He has played a big a part in what Chelsea are trying to do,’ Shearer said of Rudiger on the Premier League official website.Rudiger has only missed one Chelsea game this season, the trip to Brentford in October, and has become a really important cog in Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Elsewhere, Conor Gallagher – currently on loan at Crystal Palace – has also received a call-up by the former Newcastle and Blackburn striker.
‘On loan from Chelsea. Up to now, he has been a main driving force in that Crystal Palace team. Everyone has been impressed with the way he has played.’
