Chelsea have been drawn to play Crystal Palace in the final-four stage of this season’s FA Cup.
The match will be played at Wembley Stadium during the weekend of 16 and 17 April with the exact date to be announced later.Our Premier League visit to Leeds United which was originally scheduled for that weekend will move.In the other semi-final Manchester City will play either Nottingham Forest or Liverpool.Thomas Tuchel’s side reached this stage by beating Middlesbrough 2-0 away on Saturday, having overcome Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle and Luton Town in the previous rounds. We now play our fifth FA Cup semi-final in six years.We last played Palace in the FA Cup in 1976, suffering a 3-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round. However the previous two times the Blues were handed this London derby in the competition we triumphed, winning after a replay in 1971 and 4-1 at Selhurst Park in 1970, on the way to lifting the trophy.
