Mason Mount, central to so much of our best work in Middlesbrough yesterday, is proud of the way the team are delivering on the pitch while ignoring the noise off it.

Mount set up both of our goals in the win at the Riverside, most impressively the first with a pinpoint delivery that Romelu Lukaku converted. The attacking midfielder now has 25 goals and 25 assists in a Chelsea shirt.

It was the manner of our latest success that left Mount particularly pleased as he reflected on our 12th win in our past 13 games.

‘Middlesbrough have been on an unbelievable run, you've seen the teams they've beaten recently in the Cup, so it was never going to be a comfortable night with the fans behind them,’ he said.

‘We didn't have many fans, but I felt like we let our football do the talking. We played some good stuff, and that was the main goal for us.

‘There is a lot going on around us, but within the group we have so much focus and we are trying to block out everything that is going on around us.’

We will now compete in our fifth FA Cup semi-final in the past six years at Wembley next month, a few days after the conclusion of our Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid.

Yet again, Chelsea head into the final few weeks of a season with so much to play for, and Mount is determined to go one step further in the FA Cup than we managed in the League Cup earlier this season.

‘We really have that winning mentality within the group,' he stressed.

'Any competition, any game, we want to win, and we just need to keep that going. If it’s a cup game or a league game, give it everything. It's been a tough couple of weeks but for us, as a team, we're just very focused and ready to play.

‘We're all so hungry for a domestic title. It's not been the best of runs for us at Wembley, but we want to right that wrong. We've already had one final at Wembley this season and lost it so we're hungry to win.’
