Kai Havertz vs Newcastle United

This dramatic late winner from Kai Havertz against Newcastle won’t be forgotten anytime soon. After Jorginho’s inch-perfect lofted pass was brought down exquisitely by Havertz, the German then instinctively slammed the ball home, causing huge celebrations at Stamford Bridge after a vital three points.

Hakim Ziyech vs Middlesbrough

Hakim Ziyech scored his third goal from outside of the box so far this season in our FA Cup quarter-final win at Middlesbrough. The birthday boy had received the ball from Mason Mount on the right-wing before cutting inside and dipping a low shot into the bottom corner.

Guro Reiten vs Leicester City [second goal]

Guro Reiten’s second of the afternoon just before half-time in our 9-0 thrashing over Leicester is also a contender. Ji threaded the ball into the path of Reiten on the left-hand side of the penalty area, before our No.11 scored an audacious chip into the top-right hand corner.

Mason Mount vs Norwich City

Mason Mount just loves playing against Norwich! After a hat-trick earlier on in the season against the Canaries, he saved one of his best strikes of the campaign for our trip to Carrow Road, after he dropped his shoulder on the edge of the area before finding the top corner with a right-footed shot.

Thierno Ballo vs Leeds United

Ballo scored his second goal in as many games since he returned from a loan with Rapid Vienna with this winner against Leeds. After Brodie Hughes had released Dion Rankine in behind with an excellent ball down the line, the winger played a beautifully-weighted cut-back to find Ballo, who finished well.

Kai Havertz vs Norwich City

Havertz was in fine goalscoring form in the month of March and he has received a second nomination for Goal of the Month with his strike at Norwich, a goal that sealed our victory in Norfolk.

After neat work by N’Golo Kante, Kai found space just inside the 18-yard box before hitting a left-footed shot into the top corner to make it 3-1 to the Blues.

Guro Reiten vs Leicester City [first goal]

Reiten’s third minute free-kick at the King Power Stadium last Sunday has to make the cut for March’s best goal. The Norweigan won the free-kick and took it herself, perfectly curling it over the wall and past Demi Lambourne in the Foxes net.

Reece James vs Burnley

James marked his return to the starting XI after 10 weeks out with a stunning solo goal at Burnley at the beginning of the month.

After Trevoh Chalobah had played the ball into his path, Reece feigned to shoot not once but twice, leaving three Burnley defenders backpedaling before firing a shot past Nick Pope.

Niamh Charles vs West Ham United

Niamh Charles’s screamer at West Ham is also on the shortlist. After Pernille Harder nodded the ball down, our No.21 struck a half-volley sweetly into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 against the Hammers for her first goal of the season.

Sam Kerr vs Aston Villa

Sam Kerr left it late in the game against Aston Villa to score her 50th Chelsea goal. Zecira Musovic’s clearance in the second minute of added time was nodded on by Millie Bright into the path of the Australian striker, who then finished superbly.
