Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel admits our last four Premier League performances have been far below the expected level and the boss has challenged his side to show a reaction at Cobham this week.
The Blues have no midweek game in the coming week for the first time since the March international break, but Tuchel admits the idea of his side needing to react to a poor result again is not a feeling he wants to become familiar with.
Chelsea entertain Wolves next at Stamford Bridge, who have lost their last three matches without scoring.
'It’s always important to react in the next game but, honestly, I don’t like that we have to react,' Thomas said post-match.
'I would like us to be a lot more consistent and at the moment, we struggle to play without mistakes in our game.
'We are struggling to keep clean sheets and from this we struggle to get the results that we want and demand.
'The last four matches have been absolutely disappointing and that is something we have to improve on.'
Speaking of the timing of Everton’s winner, which came seconds after the second half commenced, Tuchel says it did not impact Frank Lampard’s side’s game plan.
‘The goal was decisive. The score was 1-0. It's not about the timing, they would have played deeper for 80 minutes if it was scored in the 10th minute or done it for one minute if they scored it in the last minute.
‘If you have matches like this, like against West Ham, you cannot do mistakes like this. You will always have the chance to get the three points with one goal. Once you give it away, you have everything against you.’
