Chelsea Football Club says goodbye to long-serving goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon.
A familiar figure to fans from warming up our goalkeepers on the pitch prior to matches, Christophe joined Chelsea in November 2007 from Rennes in his native France where he had previously coached Petr Cech.Working closely again with Cech and our other goalkeepers, Christophe played a part in our many major successes during his time here, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and the Europa League in his time as men’s team goalkeeping coach. His diligent preparation and extensive range of training methods were rewarded most famously in Munich in 2012, when Cech starred in our first Champions League final triumph.
In recent years Christophe has worked as one of our loan player technical coaches, liaising with the club’s goalkeepers out on loan. In addition, Christophe has worked to develop the training methods of the young goalkeepers of the Academy and been instrumental in the supervision of the goalkeepers for the recruitment department. We wish Christophe well for the next stage of his career. He will always be welcome at Stamford Bridge.
