Our series telling the story of Chelsea's first 120 years reaches the most successful period in the club's history, when the trophies kept on coming at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea celebrated our 100th birthday with our first top-flight league title in 50 years in 2005, and that proved just the start as our second century began with a run of sustained and unprecedented success.
That first title was quickly joined by another in back-to-back Premier League successes, before the League Cup and FA Cup were claimed in 2007. It wasn’t all smooth sailing, as our pursuit of Champions League glory continued to be in vain, with a painful shootout defeat to Manchester United in our first final followed by an acrimonious semi-final exit to Barcelona.
However, the glory continued to come closer to home, Carlo Ancelotti’s high-scoring Blues side claiming our first-ever domestic Double of Premier League and FA Cup at the end of an incredible 2009/10 season.
It was another Italian, Roberto Di Matteo, who was in the dugout as we finally got our hands on Europe’s top prize, though, when a dramatic Champions League campaign full of ups and downs culminated in our defeat of Bayern Munich on their own turf in the 2012 final.
In the following years, more success on the domestic scene was joined by our first triumph in the Europa League, as we completed our UEFA silverware collection. Here are some of our favourite images from Chelsea's 11th decade...
