Mark Robinson's team were involved in an exciting 3-3 draw against Boreham Wood earlier in the week but were on the wrong side of a 5-3 defeat to Barnet as they continue to prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Our young Blues' first two games of pre-season have been against National League sides.
Boreham Wood
The first game was an evening kick-off against Boreham Wood and the side that finished sixth in their league last season were in control as they raced into a 3-0 lead.
Callum Hudson-Odoi reduced the deficit with a goal just before the half-time whistle as he composed himself well to fire past the keeper.
Wholesale changes at the interval saw a younger side feature and the fresh legs proved to be a positive for Chelsea as Leo Castledine headed into the net early in the second period.
The comeback was continued just under 10 minutes from time when Tyrique George's turn and finish inside the box found the bottom corner of the net.
Barnet
We took the lead on a wet afternoon in Barnet through Dylan Williams as he turned in the rebound after a Ben Elliott shot was saved.
Barnet equalised just before half time but we took the lead a minute into the second period when Williams again found himself in a great position, providing the finish necessary to give us the lead.
The Bees then went on a scoring spree as they scored four goals to make the score 5-2.
Castledine then made it two goals in two pre-season games with a strike from distance which found the top corner of the net, with 5-3 the final score.
The dev squad will continue their run of pre-season games against National League sides on Tuesday when they take on Aldershot Town away from home in a game that kicks off at 7.45pm.
