Aggie Beever-Jones has been nominated for the Barclays FA Women's Super League Player of the Month award for March
The Blues faced an intense month – seven matches were played in league and cup – but we remained unbeaten in the WSL to solidify our position atop the table. Beever-Jones started each of our four league outings in March and scored in all but one of those encounters.
The 21-year-old found the back of the net from inside the box in our 3-1 win over Leicester, producing a smart finish after a Mayra Ramirez flick.
And when we found ourselves 1-0 down away to Man City at half-time in the WSL, Beever-Jones sparked our come-from-behind victory. After picking up possession in midfield, the England international played the ball out wide to Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, who moved it onto Wieke Kaptein. Her pull back was met by Beever-Jones, who finished coolly.
Her third goal in March – and eighth of the season – came against West Ham United in our 2-2 draw at Kingsmeadow. It came after team-mate Catarina Macario had held the ball up well inside the box, before delivering a short pass for Beever-Jones to supply the angled finish.
Our striker is up against Shekiera Martinez of West Ham, Arsenal's Alessia Russo and Mariona Caldentey, Manchester United duo Leah Galton and Maya Le Tissier as well as Manchester City's Vivianne Miedema.
Voting for Player of the Month is now open and will close at 11am on Monday April 7. The winner will be announced Thursday April 10.
