An impressive few years at Doncaster Belles saw England attract attention, resulting in her move to the Blues in 2016. Since then, the 28-year-old has racked up more than 150 appearances for the club and an impressive record in front of goal to accompany those.

During her first season in blue, the tenacious attacker became a fan favourite with five goals and several assists in 19 appearances during the 2016/17 campaign. She was deployed at left-wing back in the 2017 Spring Series and her efforts were duly rewarded with a contract extension.

After an impressive debut season, England went on loan to Liverpool for the 2017/18 Women’s Super League campaign. She thrived on Merseyside and finished the joint-third highest scorer in the top flight with 10 goals in 16 matches, before returning to Chelsea where she flourished.

The 2018/19 season was a memorable one for England, who stamped her authority on the forward position with 22 goals in all competitions. This prowess in front of goal saw her finish the campaign as the club’s top goalscorer.

This rich vein of form continued with 21 goals in all competitions in our 2019/20 Double-winning campaign. She finished as the club’s top scorer for the second consecutive season, including a brace in our maiden Continental Tyres League Cup final victory over Arsenal in 2020.

England scored a stunning strike against Tottenham in the Blues opening game of the 2019/20 season at Stamford Bridge and individual accolades followed. She was named Chelsea Women’s Player of the Year, Barclays FA Women’s Super League Player of the Season and PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

After back-to-back prolific seasons in front of goal, England made 33 appearances in 2020/21 of which 17 were starts. She contributed to a successful season for the Blues, scoring 11 goals while adding numerous assists to her personal tally.

Last season, we secured another league and cup double with England starting 17 of her 34 appearances, netting 14 times in all competitions. She enjoyed success on the international stage last summer as one of four Blues among the Lionesses European Championship-winning squad.

During the first half of this campaign, she scored two goals in our league victories away to Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City, individual strikes which contributed to six valuable points against two tough opponents. She leaves Chelsea having made 163 appearances in total and having scored 74 goals.
