Chelsea defenders Nathalie Bjorn and Millie Bright have both been nominated for the Women's Super League Player of the Month award for January.

The defensive duo helped the Blues to two league wins in January: a 5-0 victory away at West Ham and a 1-0 defeat of London rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Both Bjorn and Bright started and played the entirety of each of those contests, helping their team to the points and clean sheets. Those victories helped move the Blues onto 34 points at the top of the WSL table and ensured we remained unbeaten.

Bjorn also registered an assist in our win at West Ham, teeing up midfielder Erin Cuthbert who netted our second goal with a powerful drive into the bottom corner from range.

The centre-back pairing have formed a formidable partnership as part of a Chelsea backline who have conceded only six goals across 12 WSL games thus far.

Bjorn and Bright are nominated for the award alongside former Blue Bethany England (Tottenham Hotspur), Vivianne Miedema (Manchester City), Olivia Smith (Liverpool), Elisabeth Terland (Manchester United), Julie Thibaud (Leicester City), and Ella Toone (Manchester United).

Voting is now open and will close on Monday 3 February at 11am. You can cast your vote for Nathalie and Millie here!

Good luck, both!
