The next Blues player to tell us about their first visit to America ahead of our pre-season tour this July is Carney Chukwuemeka, who is heading to the States for a different experience this time round...

'It was with my school actually. When I was 13, we went to Arizona, and LA as well, on a sort of school football trip type of thing. It was good, we spent 10 days out there, we played a few US teams. We went on the beach. It’s called the GTA beach because that’s the beach they based the one in GTA the game on. I think it's the Santa Monica Pier in LA.

'It was crazy, we thought we were in a game at the time because of that. I went as well to watch a basketball game, but I can’t remember who it was. That was a top experience, but that was the only time I’ve been to America actually.

'I wouldn’t say the main focus was football because we were still school pupils, so there was a bit of tourism, but obviously we went there to play football. It was cool.

'We got time to ourselves, but there were always adults with us!'
