The Blues will begin our preparations for the second half of the season when the squad travel to Portugal for a winter training camp on Friday.
After a hugely impressive start to the campaign where Sonia Bompastor’s side won 15 matches while drawing once, the players and staff have been enjoying some well-deserved downtime during the festive period.
Their attention will soon turn back to Chelsea as our trip to Portugal will see the Blues prepare for a busy return to action in January when we will play four matches across three domestic competitions.
Bompastor’s side will be looking to continue their fine form when we return to the pitch, with the Blues currently sitting six points clear at the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table, while also having a UEFA Champions League quarter-final to look forward to after finishing top of Group B with six wins from six.
Our first match of 2025 sees us host Charlton Athletic at Kingsmeadow in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round Proper on Sunday 12 January, before we return to WSL duty the following weekend with a visit to West Ham United.
The Blues begin their Subway Women’s League Cup campaign with a quarter-final tie against Durham at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 22 January. This precedes what is set to be a thrilling match at Stamford Bridge against Arsenal in the WSL on Sunday 26 January, with 20,000 tickets already sold for this London derby.
Tickets for our matches in January can be found here!
You can follow the squad’s activities in Portugal across the official Chelsea website and app, and social media channels.
