Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor spoke to the media in Washington, DC on Friday afternoon ahead of our next pre-season match against Arsenal...
At Audi Field, where we will play on Sunday, a joint press conference took place with Bompastor sitting alongside Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall and Washington Spirit counterpart Jonatan Giraldez, who will lead his side in a NWSL encounter against Kansas City Current hours before the London derby.
The managers were asked about why the blockbuster double-header is a good advert for the women's game in the States, and Blues head coach Bompastor described the event as a privilege to be a part of.
'It is a privilege,' Bompastor said. 'Having the chances to be the coaches of such great teams with a lot of talent, and having players who are important and are the best ones in the world.
'It's a great opportunity - the players love that and are looking for that. As coaches it is a great experience for us as well. I feel really lucky to be part of this event. I'm thankful for that.'
During our time in America, Chelsea have played in New Jersey - where we beat NJ/NY Gotham 3-1 - and had an activity-filled day in New York City.
Such activities included watching a WNBA game, opening the New York Stock Exchange, bagel making and a bracelet beading session. And there was even time for our players to see some famous tourist sights!
Bompastor has felt the love in all the stops of our tour, as she explained when asked how it feels to have the club be embraced by the United States.
'When I had the opportunity to talk to the sporting directors at Chelsea, I knew from the beginning that it was such a big club and such a big club in the world,' our head coach added.
'This badge and the Chelsea brand is so big in the world. I was not really surprised [by the support] because I know how much the US people have been able to support the team.
'From the Gotham game, the Chelsea crowd were so loud. We almost felt like we were playing at home. I'm expecting the same kind for the game on Sunday, and I'm so happy because we can feel the love from them.
'Our job is to make sure when we play, of course it's about getting a good result and winning the game, but it's also about making sure the fans enjoy the way that we play.
'We want to have an attacking style of play to make sure the fans are enjoying and they want to come watch us.
'I'm expecting to have a crowd cheering for us and I can't wait to see that.'
