Brentford vs Chelsea preview
Chelsea will be looking to extend a five-match winning run in all competitions when we make the short trip across west London to face a Brentford side currently ninth in the Premier League table. The Blues have tightened up at the back since Graham Potter took charge in early September, with just two goals conceded in six matches and four consecutive clean sheets for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The goals have also started flowing down the other end of the field, with Mason Mount's brace in Birmingham against Aston Villa last time out getting the midfielder off the mark this term. Combined with four assists, the 23-year-old is now up to six goal involvements this season, level with Raheem Sterling (four goals, two assists).
The Bees ended a three-match winless run with Friday night's 2-0 victory over Potter's former side Brighton, with Ivan Toney's double taking him into third in the Premier League's top scorer standings with eight goals. They have won three, drawn one and lost one (to Arsenal) of their five home matches so far this season.
