With an 18-game unbeaten run behind the Blues, Catarina Macario hopes her side can build on that momentum when we get our League Cup campaign underway against Durham.
Our League Cup campaign begins this evening at Kingsmeadow in the quarter-final stage as we host the side fifth in the Championship.
Sonia Bompastor's team will come into the match boasting an 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, and forward Macario is aiming to make that 19 as we look to progress to the next round of the competition.
'We want to win everything,' Macario said. 'We have obviously started the season well and 2025 too in these last two games. We want to keep this good momentum going and set the tone going forward.
'These are all very important games coming up. This is like the fun time of the season now, you know! No matter what competition it is or who we are against, we want to play well and dominate the game.'
There will be no sense of complacency, says the American international, when we host Durham, who are four points off the top of the Championship after 11 games played.
'We approach it like any other game,' Macario added. 'Anyone can beat anyone on a given day so we have to show up and play to our best. We have prepared and we will be ready.'
Macario has been pleased with her recent performances, having started both of our matches since the winter break and scored her fifth goal of the season in Sunday's Women's Super League win against West Ham.
'After the Christmas break and some time to reset, I feel like I'm finally hitting my stride now,' Macario said. 'Hopefully, I can keep improving, getting some more minutes and keep being able to impact the team.'
