The Year of the Rabbit has arrived and Chelsea is getting into the spirit of the occasion with Lunar New Year activities and promotions at Kingsmeadow ahead of Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup tie against Liverpool.

Fans will get the Lunar New Year vibe when they arrive at the stadium which will be decorated with traditional Chinese lanterns and display boards explaining the various symbols of the festivities and their significance in Chinese culture.

Our mascots Stamford and Bridget will also be dressed for the occasion in Lunar New Year costumes when they engage with supporters at the game.

In keeping with the Oriental theme, fans can also get a taste for the occasion with Szechuan Pies available for purchase at the food outlet in the stadium concourse.

On the pitch, the players will wear exclusive Year of the Rabbit pre-match tops when they warm up before the game.

These shirts feature a unique rabbit illustration which channels the spirit of elegance, peacefulness and longevity and conveys the promise for a year of hope and opportunity in 2023. As an added touch, the tops have been personalised for each player with their names printed in Mandarin Chinese text.

Supporters can purchase the exclusive Lunar New Year edition pre-match top which is available in limited quantities at our mobile club store at Kingsmeadow, the Stamford Bridge Megastore and our official online store, www.chelseamegastore.com

We wish all of our fans a Happy Lunar New Year and hope you enjoy the Year of the Rabbit festivities!
