Signed from Inter Milan in August 2022, Casadei initially featured for our Under-21s side before spending the second half of the campaign in the Championship with Reading.

He was then included in the Italy squad for the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup and claimed both the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot as his country finished as runners-up to Uruguay.

A loan move to Leicester City followed, where Casadei gained further senior experience, before he returned to Chelsea in January 2024.
