Chelsea can today confirm that Charlotte Wardlaw will spend the 2023/24 season on loan at Glasgow City of the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
The versatile 20-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, signed her first professional contract with the Blues ahead of the 2021/22 season which she spent on loan at Liverpool.
During her first season on Merseyside, Wardlaw helped Liverpool win the Women’s Championship and promotion to the WSL, before going back there to begin the 2022/23 campaign.
Wardlaw returned to Chelsea in January before securing a loan move to Lewes for the second half of last season, where she continued her development in the Women’s Championship.
During the 2023/24 campaign, Wardlaw will play her football with Scottish Women’s Premier League champions Glasgow City, whose first place finish last season will see them compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
Everyone at Chelsea would like to wish Charlotte every success during her time with Glasgow City.
