Chelsea can today confirm winger Reanna Blades has departed the club upon the expiration of her contract.

The 19-year-old joined Chelsea at under-14 level and having impressed in the Academy, signed her first professional contract with the club in October 2022.

Blades scored and was named Player of the Match in the FA Women’s Academy Cup final during the 2022/23 season when we overcame Manchester United in Loughborough.

She made her competitive first team debut during our 3-1 victory over Reading in the FA Cup quarter-final in March 2023, coming off the bench as a second-half substitute.

During the 2023/24 campaign, Blades secured a season-long loan at Lewes in the Barclays Women’s Championship, scoring twice and registering two assists in 20 appearances.
