With just five days to go until the big day, what better way to get in the festive spirit than to catch up with our No.20 Cole Palmer as he answers a host of quick-fire questions related to Christmas.

As calendar years go, few can compare to Palmer and 2024. The 22-year-old has won a host of individual awards, scored in a major final for his country and helped Chelsea climb up the Premier League table.

But at this time of year, what we really want to know is: what does he think of mulled wine? And is he one of those strange lads who puts tomato ketchup all over his Christmas dinner?

To mark the 20th day of our Chelsea Advent series, we have run through 20 quick-fire questions with our beloved No.20. Enjoy!

1) What is your first Christmas memory?

It would have to be going to my Nana's house and my Dad's car being robbed on Christmas Day!

2) What is the first Christmas present you remember receiving?

I remember getting my first PlayStation. I was a big Call of Duty fan when I was younger so used to play that a fair bit.

3) What does a normal Christmas day look like for you?

Sometimes we spend it at my Nana's and other times it will be at my Mum's.

4) What do you love most about Christmas?

Just spending time with my family.

5) Do you have any particular Christmas traditions in your family?

We don't really have anything out of the ordinary.

6) Do you prefer giving Christmas presents or receiving them?

Giving.

7) What is your favourite part of a Christmas dinner?

It has to be sausage and bacon.

8) Anything on the traditional Christmas dinner you’re chucking straight in the bin?

Sprouts. And carrots as well.

9) Do you have anything else other than gravy on your Christmas dinner?

A bit of mint sauce maybe.

10) Mulled wine: Yes or no?

I've not actually had it before.

11) And what about Baileys?

I don't think I've every tried that either, ya know.

12) If you had to invite three Chelsea players around for Christmas dinner, who would it be?

That is tough. I'm going to have to say at least four if not more. Levi [Colwill], Noni [Madueke], [Jadon] Sancho and Tosin would be there, and so would Carney [Chukwuemeka] and Betts (Marcus Bettinelli) as well.

13) If your partner buys you matching Christmas jumpers, are you wearing them or are you telling her no way?

I'd wear it in the house!

14) Which Chelsea player is pulling off the Christmas jumper best?

Me.

15) What is your favourite Christmas song?

Give me a few suggestions...Ah, Last Christmas, I'll go with that.

16) If you’re forced to do Christmas karaoke, what Christmas song are you singing?

That would be Last Christmas as well.

17) What’s your favourite Christmas film?

I'll keep it going and say Last Christmas again!

18) What are your hopes for this Christmas?

There are loads of games at this time of year so I'm hoping we can win a lot of games!

19) How would you sum up 2024?

It has been a good year for me. Scoring in the final of the Euros was a dream come true and it was just a great year for me overall.

20) What are you hoping to achieve in 2025?

Hopefully I can win some trophies with Chelsea.
