Chelsea is delighted to announce the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City.

The midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Blues, which includes an additional one-year option, and will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training.

'It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,' said Dewsbury-Hall. 'This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do.’

Dewsbury-Hall, who joined Leicester at the age of eight, made his senior debut for the Foxes in an FA Cup tie against Brentford in January 2020. A loan spell in League One with Blackpool followed in which he struck four goals in just ten appearances.

He spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan in the Championship with Luton Town and showcased his talent and potential over 40 appearances to earn a place in the first-team squad at Leicester ahead of the following season.

Dewsbury-Hall became a prominent figure in the Foxes side during the 2021/22 campaign. He made 44 appearances across all competitions and was named in the UEFA Europa Conference League Team of the Season after helping Leicester reach the semi-finals.

A further 34 outings were made for Leicester during the 2022/23 season before he was joined at the King Power Stadium by Enzo Maresca last summer.

Under our new head coach, Dewsbury-Hall played 49 times, scored 12 goals, helped Leicester secure promotion to the Premier League, was named the club’s Supporters' Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season, and was named in the Championship Team of the Year.

He now begins the next chapter of his career with the Blues. Welcome to Chelsea, Kiernan!
