Chelsea forwards Lauren James and Aggie Beever-Jones have been nominated for the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
Recognising their achievements during the 2023/24 season, the duo are among the six-player shortlist, with the winners being announced in a ceremony in Manchester on 20 August.
James enjoyed an outstanding campaign as we won our fifth consecutive Women’s Super League title. Our No.10 finished the season as our top goal scorer with 16 goals across all competitions, with 13 of those coming in the league.
It was also a season to remember for Beever-Jones, who finished as our second-highest scorer in what was her breakthrough campaign.
The 21-year-old scored 13 goals in 10 starts and 21 substitute appearances across all competitions.
Beever-Jones then became our latest Lioness as she earned her first senior cap for England in a European Championship qualifying match against the Republic of Ireland in July.
Congratulations, Lauren and Aggie!
