Chelsea Women pair Mayra Ramirez and Maika Hamano both featured for their nations in international friendlies last night.

Ramirez played 85 minutes of Colombia’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Venezuela, with both goals scored by her 19-year-old strike partner Linda Caicedo.

Both goals from the Real Madrid forward came in close proximity to one another, netting the opener after 38 minutes before adding a second just two minutes later to wrap up the friendly victory.

The victory acts as a warm-up to a second international clash between the two sides, which will again be hosted at the Estadio Metropolitano de Cabudare in Venezuela. Kick-off is at 10pm UK time on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Hamano came off the bench for Japan to play her part in a 2-0 victory over New Zealand in Murcia, Spain.

The Japanese goals came either side of the break, with Mina Tanaka opening the scoring in first-half stoppage time before Feyenoord defender Toka Koga added a second just after the restart.

Similarly to Ramirez and Colombia, Japan will face off with New Zealand again on Monday (3pm kick-off). The game will again be played in Murcia.
