Chelsea Football Club and Chelsea Foundation, alongside the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust, has supported a local foodbank by donating essential food supplies for those in need.

In October, Chelsea FC and Chelsea Foundation staff donated over 750 items to Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank.

With the current cost of living crisis, food poverty is unfortunately an issue for many, with Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank supplying food to around 2,500 local children and adults every month.

Laura Cordingley, chief executive of Chelsea Foundation, said: ‘This is a wonderful example of the collective difference we can make together. Supporting our local communities and positively affecting the lives of people who need assistance is crucial to the values of both Chelsea Foundation and Chelsea Football Club. I’d like to thank all staff and supporters for this significant showing of kindness.’

Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank added: 'We'd love to say a massive thank you, for not only donating to Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank, but helping in raising awareness. We will continue to provide support to those in our borough until we end food poverty.'

Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) has supported Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank for many years, and hosts a food collection point on matchdays in Fulham Road near Stamford Bridge.

Cliff Auger, Chelsea Supporters’ Trust board member, said: ‘Chelsea Supporters’ Trust board members were delighted to join the club at the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank warehouse as they handed over food donations generously collected by Chelsea staff at Stamford Bridge.

‘The CST has supported the H&F Foodbank for over seven years, and it is really encouraging that the club are collaborating with us in supporting such an important local charity. Our next foodbank collection will be outside the Stoll building next to Stamford Bridge [location shown by the red pin below] before the Arsenal match on 10 November.’
