It was all smiles at Cobham this week as the Chelsea FC Foundation Community Day returned.
A host of Blues supporters were invited by the Foundation to watch their Chelsea heroes train at our famous training ground.
There were still club Covid restrictions in place, however it was still a day to remember for the Foundation’s guests.
After a Q&A session with club legend Petr Cech, our guests watched on as the players took part in a training session. Following the session, players took time to meet the guests, take photos and sign autographs.
Supporters also got to have their photos taken with the Champions League trophy.
Alex, who attended on the day, said: ‘It’s been a really good day, first we went over to the marquee and had a Q&A with Petr Cech, then we came over to watch the first team train. We got to take pictures with the players and they signed photos, it was a really good day overall!’
When asked who he was most excited to meet, Alex quickly answered ‘Kante – definitely Kante!’
‘I had a little conversation with him, a photo and signed photo as well and it was really good to meet him. Just how nice all the players are, coming over and having a little chat. It exceeded all my expectations coming here today.’
Katie, who also attended the day, added: ‘It was amazing! Seeing all of the different people and meeting them.
Katie exclaimed she liked all of the players but was extra happy to have met Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
‘I like all of them! But I think Rudiger and Christensen... we got photos with everyone I think!’
The Community Days see the Chelsea Foundation linking up with a range of charities to arrange visits for supporters and their careers, giving them a well-deserved boost in what is a difficult time for them and their families.
