The fans and their family member were invited by the Chelsea Foundation to watch Thomas Tuchel and his coaching staff put players through their paces on Thursday morning.

Before training, our visitors took part in a Q&A session with former Chelsea player Tore Andre Flo before getting the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Champions League trophy.

After training, the players spent time chatting to the Foundation guests, as well as posing for socially distanced photographs with the visitors and signing players cards to give them some great mementoes from the day.

Among those in attendance was six-year-old Eddie who was joined at Cobham by his mum Harriet. She spoke about how special the day was for her son.

‘It’s been absolutely incredible to see Eddie’s face when he is meeting the players,' she said. 'He idolises them. He’s wanted to be a footballer for so long and this has been pretty special. It’s making me emotional just thinking about it.

‘Eddie doesn’t really have a normal life at the moment, so it’s been great to do something so special.

‘He’s been so looking forward to it. We were meant to come on two previous occasions, but he was in hospital, so he was so disappointed. Sally from the Foundation has been great and always reassuring that we would get here. He is here today, and he thinks it is the bee’s knees!

‘He is a really understated kid, but I can see that he is so excited, he thinks it’s amazing and you can see his big eyes taking everything in!’

Among our other guests were seven-year-old Frazer Richardson, 13-year-old Thomas LeFranc, 14-year-old Lyubo Varbanov and 16-year-old Oscar Baxter.

The regular Community Days see the Chelsea Foundation linking up with a range of charities to arrange visits for supporters and their carers, giving them a well-deserved boost in what is often a difficult time for them and their families.
