Thomas Tuchel has made four changes to the team which won the FIFA Club World Cup final last week as we return to Premier League action at Crystal Palace today, with Mason Mount and Cesar Azpilicueta both missing out due to injuries picked up in Abu Dhabi.
The back three and goalkeeper seem set to remain the same, with Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger lining up ahead of Edouard Mendy, who is playing his first match in England since departing for the Africa Cup of Nations after our first game in January.
It is all change at wing-back, though, with Reece James and Ben Chilwell being joined on the injury list by Cesar Azpilicueta, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is also not involved. Malang Sarr comes in on the left, with Christian Pulisic looking likely to take up position on the right flank. Jorginho comes in as captain to partner N'Golo Kante in midfield.
Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz keep their places in the front three after both scored in the Club World Cup final. However, Mount is out after being forced off with an ankle injury in that final, being replaced by Hakim Ziyech.
Conor Gallagher is unavailable for Crystal Palace as he is on loan from Chelsea. He is replaced by James McArthur in one of four changes by manager Patrick Vieira, with Cheikh Kouyate, Michael Olise and Nathaniel Clyne also coming in, Clyne to make only his second start of the season.
