Marc Cucurella comes straight into the Chelsea starting XI for our friendly against Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge today.

The Spaniard returned to training earlier this week after his prolonged and triumphant involvement at Euro 2024. Cole Palmer, who also went the distance with England this summer, is on the bench, as are Nicolas Jackson and Axel Disasi after their recoveries from injury.

Enzo Maresca oversees Chelsea at the Bridge for the first time, and he has made five changes to the team that started against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The other fresh faces alongside Cucurella are Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Mykhailo Mudryk. Enzo Fernandez captains, with Dewsbury-Hall and striker Marc Guiu playing at the Bridge for the first time.

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Enzo (c), Lavia, Dewsbury-Hall; Madueke, Guiu, Mudryk.

Subs: Jorgensen, Bettinelli, Adarabioyo, Badiashile, Disasi, Chilwell, Veiga, Caicedo, Ugochukwu, Chukwuemeka, Sterling, Palmer, Nkunku, Jackson
