Sonia Bompastor has confirmed Johanna Rytting Kaneryd should be available for Sunday's London derby with West Ham United.

Rytting Kaneryd has missed our last two games with a calf injury, but the 27-year-old is back in full training and our head coach expects the Sweden international to be in the squad for Sunday's trip to the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Bompastor said: ‘Jojo practiced fully today with the team so she will be practicing with us for matchday minus one on Saturday and will be available.’

One player who is set to miss our first Women's Super League match since December 14 is Wieke Kaptein.

The young Dutch midfielder suffered a back injury on Sunday in our FA Cup win against Charlton Athletic and whilst she is closing in on a return, Sunday's 3pm kick-off has come too soon, with Wednesday's home game against Durham more likely.

Bompastor said: ‘She couldn’t train this week and she will not be in the squad for Sunday’s game.

‘She is fine, she has had treatment and now she is just getting back to a position where she might be able to practice on Saturday but won’t be ready for the game. Probably she will be with us in the squad for Wednesday’s game.’

Bompastor expects Kaptein to be the only absentee on Sunday, with 'all the other players feeling good'.
