Catarina Macario, Aggie Beever-Jones and Sandy Baltimore's respective strikes against West Ham have been nominated for the Women's Super League Goal of the Month award for January.
The Blues trio all scored stunning goals in our 5-0 win over West Ham at the Chigwell Construction Stadium. Those strikes helped Sonia Bompastor's side to an 11th unbeaten match in the WSL, with that number now standing at 12 following last weekend's victory over Arsenal.
Macario scored the opener in Dagenham after only 11 minutes with her second WSL goal this season. The American forward found the back of the net with a delightful volley on her left.
Our third goal arrived just before half-time and what an effort it was from Beever-Jones. She unleashed a strike from distance, with it bouncing off the inside of the past and over the line.
Another long-range shot was the source of our fourth goal. Baltimore netted her third league goal of the season when she fired a powerful strike goalwards from distance which left the West Ham goalkeeper with no chance.
The Chelsea attacking trio are nominated for January's award alongside Mary Fowler (Manchester City), Olivia Holdt (Tottenham Hotspur), Vivianne Miedema (Manchester City), Veatriki Sarri (Everton), and Olivia Smith (Liverpool).
Voting is now open and will close on Monday 3 February at 11am. You can cast your vote for Catarina, Aggie and Sandy here!
Good luck, all!
