Chelsea Under-21s hope to round off our Premier League Cup group-stage campaign on a high note when we host Derby County at Kingsmeadow this Friday night live on the official website and app.
Filipe Coelho’s side showed great resilience on Monday evening, Samuel Rak-Sakyi’s dramatic last-minute header securing a 2-2 draw at Brentford. Combined with Ato Ampah’s first-half strike, that gave us a crucial point and took us a step closer to the knockout stages of the competiton.
Friday marks the team’s final group stage fixture in the Premier League Cup. A win or draw against Derby would crucially keep us at the top of the table in the automatic qualification spot, while anything other than a heavy defeat would see us finish as one of the best runners up.
