The Blues return to Women’s Super League action following international duty when we host Brighton & Hove Albion at Kingsmeadow on Sunday. Here is all the information you need to know…

A fortnight after we moved five points clear at the top of the table with a home victory against Manchester United, Sonia Bompastor and her side will be looking to extend our advantage when we face the Seagulls.

Where and when

We play Brighton at Kingsmeadow on Sunday 8 December, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm.

How to follow

As always, you can follow via the Chelsea v Brighton Match Centre on the official Chelsea website and app, and through Chelsea Women’s social media channels with match commentary posted on X and regular updates available on Facebook and Instagram.

The match will also be shown live on the WSL YouTube channel.

The form

The Blues are the only unbeaten team in the WSL following our 1-0 win over Manchester United before the international break. That victory extended our winning run to eight games from eight in the league and moved us five points clear at the summit.

Our opponents will arrive in Kingston also in good form, sitting third in the WSL standings. Dario Vidosic has led his side to five wins, one draw and two defeats since he took charge of the Seagulls this summer.

Recent head-to-head

The Blues won on both occasions when the sides met in the WSL last season.

An inspired display from Sjoeke Nusken, who netted a hat-trick, and an Aggie Beever-Jones goal helped secure a 4-2 win at home in October, before a Lauren James brace and Fran Kirby strike saw us claim all three points in a 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture in the New Year.
